With a degree in Biology and a PhD in Systematics and Evolution of Monocots (FCUP) develops research about Hyacinthaceae, namely Scilla, Brimeura and Hyacinthoides from Iberian Peninsule. Other interests rest in Anatomy/Histology of Plants, Cariology and DNA Barcoding as well.

Presently is studying Landscape Architecture (FCUP).
