CIBIO (Research Center In Biodiversity and Genetic Resources) is a R&D Unit hosted by ICETA, a non-profit private institution at the University of Porto (UP) that benefits from administrative and financial autonomy. CIBIO carries out its activities in facilities from the University of Porto and other institutes that result from protocols established between ICETA and other institutions. These facilities are concentrated in the Campus Agrário de Vairão, in Vila do Conde, and include modern laboratories, classrooms, auditoriums, offices, that are shared with the National Laboratory for Veterinary Research (LNIV) and other entities from the Ministry of Agriculture. In addition, CIBIO has an external group of researchers hosted by the University of Azores, and facilities including offices at the Faculty of Sciences at UP, in Porto. |
