Degree in Biology by the Faculty of Sciences of Porto University, currently writing the doctoral thesis. The main research interests and activities are focused on Bryology and community plant ecology, particularly the study of community-environmental relationships, trends of species richness, environmental monitoring and conservation evaluation. It cooperates in several projects to promote the conservation of Portuguese Bryoflora.
