Spatial ecology and ecosystem analysis

Graduated in Geography by the Faculty of Arts, University of Porto. Master in Ecology, Environment and Territory by the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. She developed her master thesis in Alterra institute, Wageningen, The Netherlands. Currently, she is developing her PhD research both at Universities of Porto and Wageningen. At the moment she is placed in Wageningen but she is collaborating with some projects of the group in Portugal.
For her PhD she has chosen “Ecosystem Services” as the main research topic taking advantage of the geographical and ecological background. Specifically, she wants to analyze hydrological services provided by forests in a watershed in order to create tools for spatial planning and management. These include hydrological services quantification, spatial modeling and trade-off analysis between biodiversity.
Her main research interests are sustainable land-use planning, spatial modeling, biodiversity conservation and environmental system analysis.
