Applied botany

I have a Degree in Biology and an M.Sc. in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources, both by FCUP, and I currently have a Ph.D. grant by FCT. My research deals, on an Iberian level, with the taxonomy of the family Cantharidae (Coleoptera) and, in continental Portugal, with the taxonomy, chorology and biogeography of several Insect orders, particularly Coleoptera and Hemiptera. On a more general level, I catalogue the invertebrate fauna of continental Portugal, with a special focus in Protected Areas, while at the same time I compile literature with the purpose of elaborating a Bibliography of the Portuguese Entomological Fauna and an Entomological Bibliography of Portuguese Authors.
