Graduate in Biology by the University of Porto and PhD in Plant Ecology by the University of Southampton, U.K. works in the vegetation studies, conservation and valorisation of the Portuguese flora and vegetation. Also with interested in the evaluation of environmental quality and water quality evaluation and paleoenvironment reconstruction with the use of benthic diatom communities.
